Volunteer
To Volunteer at Highland Food Pantry
Tour the pantry while in operation on Tuesday morning from 9:30-11:30am or Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:30pm and learn about each station on the path to providing food for our clients.
You are encouraged to provide feedback about your preferred assignment, though you will be assigned based on the need at the time. Available assignments include: check-in, childcare, monitoring the main room, produce distribution, intake, backroom food distribution, box carrier.
Volunteer Jobs
Backroom Team
Working in one of 6 sections to pack food boxes and restocking shelves as needed.
Event Team
Assisting with pantry scheduled events such as postal food drive, apple blossom activities and each November first Sat, signature fundraising event Men on a Mission.
Intake Team
Serving as host in the following areas: giveaway, children, passing out client numbers upon entry.
Outside Load Team
Loading food boxes into client vehicles.
Partner Pick-Up Team
Picking up donations at the pantry partner locations. Pickups occur several days a week at various locations.
Produce Team
Packing produce boxes.
Specialty Delivery Team
Assisting with packing food bags for senior citizens and those with disabilities. Food is then delivered by individuals who pick the bags up at the pantry.
